You don't always need more enquiries to grow. Winning a few more of the quotations you already send can change your year. These habits help, and most cost nothing.
Respond quickly
Speed signals reliability. Aim to send simple quotations the same day. If you can make the quote before you leave the site, you've got a real advantage.
Offer options
Give two or three versions where it makes sense:
- Essential: does the job.
- Recommended: the choice you'd make yourself.
- Premium: the best materials or fastest delivery.
Many clients prefer to compare your options rather than compare you with another business.
Explain the value
Add a line that explains the benefit: "Includes moisture-resistant board, which lasts longer in bathrooms." You aren't simply listing materials. You're explaining why they matter.
Show proof
Attach photos of similar jobs, or mention a local client you've served (with permission). Real examples are more persuasive than claims.
Make this quotation on your phone. Add your company once, then create and share a PDF, even without internet.

Remove risk
Clear warranties, fair payment stages and a clear timeline all make a client feel safer.
Make accepting easy
State the next step: "Reply 'confirm' and I'll book you in for next Monday." Avoid making a client work out what to do.
Follow up
Use a simple routine. See our follow-up scripts.
Measure it
Track quotations sent and quotations won. If you win 3 of every 10 now, then even reaching 4 of every 10 means a third more work from the same enquiries. A number you measure is a number you can improve.
Quotation Maker App Offline is free on Google Play. It stores your work on your phone and creates a clean A4 PDF you can share anywhere.
